Australia, the Runway Favorites to Win 2015 ICC World Cup

Australia is always supposed as the favorite team for the World Cup. In response to their recent form, this supposed has been stronger. The fourth-time world champion has leaded with most successful side and the No. 1 ranking.

Watching the performance of last tri-nation series against India and England, it may easily obvious why they are the most favorite. There are a number of reasons for believing they will able to be successful in the final of 29th March in Melbourne.

First, they will get the home advantage. It is noted that Australia has not lost an ODI series in home ground since 2009. This summer, they have beaten South Africa by 4-1 easily and won the tri-series against India and England. Again Australia will play all the games including knockout matches in their home ground even the final match.

Second, the Australian cricketers will get familiar batting condition. Where David Warner is one of the best openers in the world, he may act like a brutal to the bowler while batting. His career best three hundreds have come in home ground among the three; one has been come against England just three innings ago. Also Aaron Finch is the perfect attacking cricketer who has an excellent ODI career.

Steve Smith is the most inform batsman in recent time. After this summer, it has been found that he has scored 1249 international runs with the average of 104 including 6 hundreds.

The another hard-hitting cricketer, Maxwell has returned in form as he has scored a match winning run and superb bowling in the final of last tri-nation series.

George Bailey is struggling with the form. But he has an excellent quality to gather an expert leadership and a brilliant finisher in ODI format.

Clarke is being supposed to return back in the team. The latest news is that he will perform in worm up match against Bangladesh. He will be fit for playing within 21st February warned by the selectors. The most recent fatal worry is that James Faulkner is fighting against injury. There is no way to fill up the place of him by others. The fattest centurion of Australia has recently played an innings of 50 runs from just 24 balls. So he can be said as hard hitting batsman.

Third, the bouncy-bowling pitches will provide advantages for the Aus’ bowlers. After the return for one month off, Jonson showed his capability by dismissing the top-order of England in the final of tri-nation series. Michel Stark got huge confidence by getting his career best six wickets against India recently. There remain few spin options for the Team Australia. When the seam department will fail to bring success, Xavier Doherty will be available. Again, the part time spinner, Maxwell may be another better option.

It should be mentioned for the Australian cricketers that South Africa will face with them having the world class batsmen like Hashim Amla, De Villiers and so on. They also have the strong bowling line up with World No. 3 bowler, Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel , Imran Tahir etc. It is also obvious that South Africa have never won any knock out match in any ICC competition.

Above all, it may say that Australia should win the World Cup 2015. They have enough confidence, enough bating line up and enough bowling line up. It should be as easy as it was in 2003 and 2007.
